The frequency that the RBS registers were polled was too slow to catch the pulse dialing digits. The result was that often times dahdi would generate WINK events instead of PULSEDIGIT events. This speeds up the rate at which the registers are checked from 100ms to 33ms and also makes the process of checking the registers quicker by queing up all the reads at once.
