makedefs

instrules
These work for all platforms supported so far, which include :
Linux
Irix
Solaris
MacOSX
Cygwin

Updated the makefiles to all have the #!gmake reference to force IRIX

compilation using gmake rather than pmake or smake. This gets round
issues with exporting OSGHOME.
